Blockley

You know when you visit somewhere that your favourite TV programme or film was shot and you become a total fan girl? Yeah, well that was exactly what happened to me and my best friend Jess when we visited Blockley.

If you read my second to last blog post then you will realise just how much I love The Cotswolds, and therefore one of my favourite programmes is Father Brown. Jess and I have been watching Father Brown for a little while now and we both love it, there's just something about The Cotswolds that truly feels like a giant hug.

Blockley and Blockley Church are just some of the settings for this programme and even though we have driven through the village many times we finally parked up and had a wander round (mums in tow, they're big fans of the show too). 

Of course, as one of the locations is a church you have to be sure to be respectful but as someone who has always been fascinated by churches and their architecture, this one was extra special.

Sunset

Aren't sunsets just absolutely beautiful!

Mother Nature really does create incredible colours in the sky, they don't last long and you can miss them all together but they really are something to marvel at!

Sidmouth

After my last post I thought I would show you somewhere else I went whilst in Devon, and that was the beautiful Sidmouth. (In one image you can literally see the rain coming in!)

I thought Sidmouth was a beautiful place, and just like with a lot of Devon it is highly photogenic!

There is just something about this picture I find very special!

Think I might have to get it printed and framed.

The cliffs around Sidmouth are something to marvel at!

Portland Bill Lighthouse

Everywhere in Dorset is so photogenic it pleases my photographer heart so so much!

At the very bottom of Dorset when looking at a map is Portland and at the very end of Portland is this lighthouse, your very stereotypically perfect lighthouse!

Surrounded, of course, by beautiful ocean you could spend hours and hours appreciating the view (20 going on 50), I would expect some seriously amazing sunrises and sunsets here.

Sometimes you just have to appreciate places you might not think to!

5 Dream Holiday Destinations

Now I'm sure we all have some (or a lot) of our own dream holiday destinations but thought I may as well share some of mine with you in case they're not on your list of places to visit!
Some of these are places I have visited before, but when you visit a place and love it so much I think it's essential to re-visit.

1) Bora Bora

The colour of that sea just means I HAVE to visit!

2) The Maldives

Victoria from In The Frow's blog post and video sealed the deal for me on this one!

3) Santorini

Who doesn't want to visit Santorini?!

4) Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis 

Visited these 3 this Summer and I loved them! (picture is Durdle Door)

5) Venice

My cousin actually wants to live here when he is older so fingers crossed I can visit!!

Stanton Village, The Cotswolds

Another day another beautiful Cotswolds village.

If you've read my blog for a little while you will know I adore The Cotswolds and aspire to live there one day! My mum, dad, uncle, auntie, cousin and I visited the beautiful village of Stanton for some lunch at The Mount Inn and had a walk around. It was a stunning day weather-wise and so I had to take some shots of the immaculate village, and wanted to share a few with you.

(Ps spot the horses and my cousin soaking up the sun in the red check shirt, caught him sunning himself!)

7 Places to visit in London

Recently I have fallen back in love with the idea of London.

I used to absolutely adore the place and went with my family very regularly but about 4 years ago every time I went I found the place a bit overwhelming and actually a little scary BUT that has changed recently and I'm going again in 2 weeks to celebrate my grandma's birthday by going to see The Railway Children at King's Cross Theatre with my family and have lunch at The Lighterman. (I'll have a blog post with my own images and let you know how the day went! I'm also planning my birthday with my friend Beth and hoping we can stay somewhere beautiful in London, bearing in mind my birthday's in October, excited much?)

But here is a list of 6 places I would recommend you visiting if you ever happen to go to London!

1. Notting Hill

Not only is the film absolutely brilliant but the houses and markets are beautiful.

(You can also visit 280 Westbourne Park Road to see the blue door/William Thacker's flat, but maybe try and not get a glimpse of Spike in his underwear! If you've never seen Notting Hill the film that'll sound very odd!)

2. Harrods/Selfridges

Now if you're going to do some department store shopping then there is no better place to spend that time then going to Harrods or Selfridges!

3. Fortnum and Mason

Fortnum and Mason's is another must see, even if you only walk around it to bask in it's beauty you must visit.

4. St Paul's

Whether that view is from the wobbly bridge (pictured below), where you can also conveniently see The Tate Modern at the other end or standing right outside the Cathedral, you'll want to see it. 

5. Old Bond Street

If you are wanting to do some designer shopping or beautiful widow shopping then look no further that the gorgeous location of Old Bond Street. The list of amazing designer shops on this street is endless, plus the cars that park down this street are also to be marvelled at!

6. Embankment

To really pack in some touristy features take a stroll along Embankment and you'll see The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Lambeth Bridge and of course The Thames. 

7. Buckingham Palace

After a walk down the beautiful Mall Road be sure to hello to Queen Elizabeth! Although by saying that I mean stand outside the beautiful gates gawping at the incredible property and wonder what's going on inside.

Now these are of course just a few incredible landmarks to visit if you happen to visit London, but if you do visit just be sure to always look around you because there is also some incredible architecture and, generally, it really is a stunning place to be.
