The White Company Wish List

There's just something about The White Company I adore, walking into there crisp, white shops and looking online and there easy to use website is just so simple and easy. Even though it can be pretty pricey, if you sign up to their mailing list then you usually get vouchers in the post (very handy!) And these are some of the pieces in my current The White Company wish list (or should that be want list?!)

Effortlessly Mulberry

Ever since I was a little girl I have always been besotted with designer pieces and the designers themselves, my life aspirations once were to become a fashion designer which then moved to a fashion photographer. So to be writing this post about my first ever Mulberry bag and credit card slip is pretty exciting to me, I know not everyone will feel the same way as me and may even think I'm crazy but after asking Emma from Emmy's Beauty Cave if I should write about my Mulberry purchases I decided I would!

On Saturday I visited the designer outlet Cheshire Oaks, potentially the best designer outlet there is! After recently becoming a little obsessed with the Mulberry Lily bag in a beautiful neutral pink colour I had high hopes that they would have one in the Cheshire Oaks outlet, even though they didn't at Bicester. So after walking past the shop on my way to lunch I was extremely delighted to see they had exactly what I was after.

This bag is extremely beautiful, and even though it may not be to everyone's taste, I love it. I also picked up a credit card slip in a similar colour, reduced to £49. The small Lily bags with the classic grain are usually £695, but as this bag was at the outlet I got it for £485, these two are my "very well done gifts" to myself after landing some pretty amazing jobs recently, plus I think I might go on a spending ban for a while...

Let me know if you would like a "What's in my Bag?" post sometime soon?

Being a tourist in St Pancras

Me and my family recently went to London for my grandma's birthday, as it was my grandma's birthday we didn't do too much wondering around and only got the train to Marylebone, the tube to King's Cross, wondered around St Pancras and saw The Railway Children at The King's Cross Theatre (which is amazing by the way, 100% recommend!)

It was my first time going to St Pancras station and, as nerdy as it may sound, it was awesome inside with some brilliant shops, the Eurostar trains and a Champagne bar, it is also beautiful from the outside! So here some images I took for if you haven't (or have) visited St Pancras and fancy a look!

How To: Enable Disqus comments on blogger (mobile version)

I was suddenly faced with a bit of panic after realising that once changing my blogger comments to Disqus, it had not worked for the mobile version and therefore comments were not working. I definitely had my 5 seconds of panic but then got straight to the Disqus website to try and work out exactly what was happening.
After searching google I found out that blogger's mobile version doesn't actually support Disqus comments, and so you either have to turn off the mobile version of your template, disable comments on your mobile version OR manually enable the Disqus mobile comments by editing your template HTML. The first 2 options I really didn't like the sound of and HTML's scare me BUT I went for the HTML editing path first (which worked very well).

Once you have installed Disqus comments (via their website) you will then end up with a widget on your blogger layout, mine looks like this:

Now in order to edit your HTML you need to go to template and edit HTML, although I would strongly advise saving and backing up your template first in case something goes horrible wrong.
When editing your HTML you need to find the section that says something along the lines of this:
<b:widget id='HTML2' locked='false' title='Disqus for El Willmer' type='HTML'>

Once finding this you then need to type, after locked='false':
mobile='yes'

Then your HTML should look something like this:
<b:widget id='HTML2' locked='false' mobile='yes' title='Disqus for El Willmer' type='HTML'>

(Obviously your HTML won't say El Willmer, it will be whatever is written on your Disqus Widget.)

Save your new HTML and you're done!
It was a little tricky for me to find this HTML section I was looking for but just read carefully and you will get there eventually, add in your new mobile bit and bob's your uncle it should work!

7 Places to visit in London

Recently I have fallen back in love with the idea of London.
I used to absolutely adore the place and went with my family very regularly but about 4 years ago every time I went I found the place a bit overwhelming and actually a little scary BUT that has changed recently and I'm going again in 2 weeks to celebrate my grandma's birthday by going to see The Railway Children at King's Cross Theatre with my family and have lunch at The Lighterman. (I'll have a blog post with my own images and let you know how the day went! I'm also planning my birthday with my friend Beth and hoping we can stay somewhere beautiful in London, bearing in mind my birthday's in October, excited much?)

But here is a list of 6 places I would recommend you visiting if you ever happen to go to London!

1. Notting Hill
Not only is the film absolutely brilliant but the houses and markets are beautiful.

(You can also visit 280 Westbourne Park Road to see the blue door/William Thacker's flat, but maybe try and not get a glimpse of Spike in his underwear! If you've never seen Notting Hill the film that'll sound very odd!)

2. Harrods/Selfridges
Now if you're going to do some department store shopping then there is no better place to spend that time then going to Harrods or Selfridges!

3. Fortnum and Mason
Fortnum and Mason's is another must see, even if you only walk around it to bask in it's beauty you must visit.

4. St Paul's
Whether that view is from the wobbly bridge (pictured below), where you can also conveniently see The Tate Modern at the other end or standing right outside the Cathedral, you'll want to see it.

5. Old Bond Street
If you are wanting to do some designer shopping or beautiful widow shopping then look no further that the gorgeous location of Old Bond Street. The list of amazing designer shops on this street is endless, plus the cars that park down this street are also to be marvelled at!

6. Embankment
To really pack in some touristy features take a stroll along Embankment and you'll see The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Lambeth Bridge and of course The Thames.

7. Buckingham Palace
After a walk down the beautiful Mall Road be sure to hello to Queen Elizabeth! Although by saying that I mean stand outside the beautiful gates gawping at the incredible property and wonder what's going on inside.

Now these are of course just a few incredible landmarks to visit if you happen to visit London, but if you do visit just be sure to always look around you because there is also some incredible architecture and, generally, it really is a stunning place to be.
