Trelissick

Now forgive me, I may have blogged about Trelissick before but I'm not entirely sure! (That rhymed....) But even if I have it really does deserve another post.

Trelissick is a beautiful National Trust in Feock, Cornwall and I have only ever been twice but both times I have been insanely lucky with the weather! This particular National Trust property holds a gorgeous manor and even prettier gardens, and we were very lucky with the flowers that were in bloom (perhaps sounding slightly like an old lady now!)

6 Thing To Do To Relax

(Source of Image)

Once in a while life can catch up on us all and we need to take a step back to gather ourselves together before joining back in with the madness of reality.
Sometimes you can get so caught up with the madness of reality it's difficult to just sit back and relax, and to take some time for yourself, so here are 6 easy ways to feel relaxed.

1. Take a day for yourself and have a total pamper, I'm talking hot bath/shower, do a hair and face mask, drink your favourite hot drink on your favourite spot on the couch.

2. Put on a film (or 5!) and watch them with your friends, family or alone, have a laugh or a cry or a scream and indulge yourself in the film.

3. Go for a walk in the country or city, and just look at your surroundings, focus on how things are working around you, look at architecture, do some people watching/animal watching.

4. Do a routine you adore and take your time whilst doing it, whether thats an exercise routine or a makeup and hair routine, the familiarity and taking your time will relax you.

5. Grab your old favourite book or that one you've been meaning to start for weeks and take time to delve into it. And read for as long or as little time as you fancy.

6. The simplest of all, just stop for a minute and take a big deep breath, and remind yourself to take time out to look after your wellbeing.

As I said it really is so easy to get caught up in the stresses of day to day life, and sometimes you really need to allow yourself some time to relax.

Broadway Tower and Dover's Hill

My two favourite places to make me feel right at home are Cornwall and The Cotswolds, and today is about 2 idyllic spots in The Cotswolds.

On a beautiful but very cold day me and my mum decided to take a trip to Broadway Tower and Dover's Hill. It was incredibly cold but the sky was so blue, I still can't believe that these images are totally unedited!

How incredible are the views and how amazing is the blue sky!

Cookies in a Jar - Marvellous Mixes

If you know me then you'll know I absolutely love cooking and baking, I just love it. But sometimes baking can just take longer than the spare time you have, therefore I wanted to share this amazing invention with you.

I had seen these around before online but when my best friend Jess bought me this jar full of the dry ingredients to make cookies I was extremely excited to get stuck in. The company Marvellous Mixes have an array of things to choose from!

For the rest of this recipe all you have to do is add:

1 Large Egg (slightly whisked)
110g Unsalted Butter (softened)

Everything else you need to create these cookies is inside the Kilner jar!

The easy steps to follow are:

First:

Preheat you oven to 180°C/160°C (fan). Line 2 baking sheets with greaseproof paper.

Second:

Empty your dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir well.

Third:

In a separate bowl beat together your egg and butter with a whisk (handheld/electric), until fluffy.

Four:

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.

Fifth:

Roll approx. 18-22 balls, place onto your baking trays, leaving a couple of inches between each ball. And bake for 10-12 mins.

Sixth:

Take out of the oven, leave to cool for 5 mins before transferring to a wire rack. And you're done to enjoy the fabulous cookies you've just created!

Spring Homeware Lust List

I don't know about you but I am seriously craving some
warm, hot, sunny weather right now (which is probably totally unrealistic considering I live in the UK, but hey we had some nice weather last year.)

With this, hopefully, warmer weather I do quite like to add some lighter colours into my room with perhaps some pastels, and therefore today I thought I would show you some homeware pieces I'm loving.

So many beautiful things for a Spring bedroom!
(Whatever that may be.)
